Georgia Tech football’s recruiting class ballooned Sunday with the addition of six commitments.
Jamauri Brice, Fenix Felton, Kevin Peay, Dalen Penson, Sam Turner and Connor Roush all announced their pledge to Tech after all six took official recruiting visits to Tech over the weekend.
Penson, a four-star recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite, is 5-foot-10, 165-pound cornerback who has reportedly piled up more than 20 offers — Duke, Louisville, Kentucky, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Penn State are a few of the programs recruiting Penson.
The Sandy Creek High senior played quarterback as a junior and went 82-for-154 for 1,052 yards eight touchdowns, He also ran for 814 yards and eight scores. Penson also competes in track and field where he runs the 100-meter and 110-meter hurdles and participates in the long jump and triple jump — he won the state championship in both the hurdles (14.05) and triple jump (49 feet, 5 1/2 inches) in May.
Brice is a three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, who is a rising senior at Cartersville. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound Brice reportedly has nearly 40 scholarship offers. He caught 34 passes for 530 yards and five scores as a CHS receiver (he also threw a 77-yard touchdown pass) and, as a defensive back, made 21 tackles and recovered a fumble on defense.
Brice has 87 career catches for 1,404 yards and 11 touchdowns.
A three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, Turner is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver at Southwest Dekalb. He has reportedly collected nearly 20 scholarship offers thus far after a junior season that saw him make 55 receptions for more than 900 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Turner also averaged 10.1 points per game for the Southwest Dekalb basketball team.
Felton, an Eagles Landing Christian Academy senior, is a 6-foot-2, 182-pound senior who is rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports. Indiana and South Florida are among the programs who have reportedly offered Felton a scholarship.
During the 2023 season, Felton made 90 tackles (one for a loss) and five interceptions. He ran for 247 yards and two scores on offense and 31 catches for 489 yards and eight touchdowns.
Peay is a 6-foot-3, 304-pound offensive lineman from Lancaster, South Carolina. Considering a three-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, Peay reportedly has more than 20 scholarship offers. He played both right and left tackle for Lancaster High School as a junior.
Roush, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound rising senior at the Wesleyan School, is an unranked prospect. He reportedly has been offered a scholarship from the Air Force Academy, Penn, Wofford and Yale.
Also, a defensive end at Wesleyan, Roush was offered by Tech at the end of May. He had six catches for 56 yards and a touchdown as a junior while racking up 43 tackles — 16 for a loss — and six sacks on defense. Roush plays baseball for the Wolves as well.
Brice, Felton, Peay, Penson, Turner and Roush bring Tech’s 2025 recruiting class to 12 and that sextet joins running back JP Powell (Miller County), defensive back Rasean Dinkins (Warner Robins), offensive linemen Jimmy Bryson (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Justin Hasenhuetl (Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School), defensive lineman Andre Fuller (Grayson) and quarterback Grady Adamson (Edmond, Okla.) as future Yellow Jackets. Tech’s class has risen to 22nd nationally and fifth among ACC teams, according to the 247Sports Composite.
